CE Certificate

General Precast Concrete Ltd has now been awarded with CE Certificate in the production of Prestressed Hollow Core Concrete Panels. The CE Certificate confirms that the manufacturing process for the production of prestressed hollow concrete panels meets the EN Standards.

General Precast Concrete Ltd has been awarded the contract for the construction of the new MaritimeMT training centre. The centre will provide courses that service the global maritime industry. Precast bespoke architectural wall elements were used in the construction of the centre.

Works on a protective shelter over the Tarxien Temples

General Precast Concrete Ltd which forms part of Malta Restoration Joint Venture has recently commenced works at the World renowned Tarxien Megalithic Temples. The Tarxien Temples site consists of a complex of four megalithic structures built between 3600 and 2500 BC. The site was accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. The works which are being carried out under the supervision of Heritage Malta consist of the design, fabrication, construction and erection of a protective shelter over the Megalithic Temples.

New Offices for RS2 Software

General Precast Concrete Ltd has recently been awarded the contract for the construction of new offices for RS2 Software in Xewkija, Gozo. The new offices will serve as an extension of the works and services currently provided from its Mosta Office in Malta. All precast elements for the construction of these new offices will be manufactured at General Precast Concrete plant situated in B’Bugia Malta.

Tigné Point Business Centre

General Precast Concrete Ltd. and other companies forming part of Frame Structures JV, has been awarded an €18 million construction contract for the new business centre at Tigné Point by Mid Knight Holdings Ltd. The works for the proposed business centre, comprising of two interconnected blocks joined by means of an atrium bridge overlooking the historic Garden Battery will commence shortly and is proposed to be completed in synonymy with MIDI’s latest seafront residential block, Q2. Environmental Permit issued to GPC

An Environmental Permit has been issued to General Precast Concrete Ltd by the Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA) to carry out waste management activities and operating a batching plant for the production of concrete products. GPC is hence now also authorised to carry out waste management activities related to the recycling of expanded polystyrene for the eventual use in thermally insulated concrete products and light weight concrete.
